Music teacher, guitar and bass player Alex Tomaino played lead guitar with several popular bands in and around Austin, Texas, Madison, WI, and New York, before moving to Portland, Oregon. A working musician and music instructor for more than 20 years, Alex teaches guitar, banjo, bass, songwriting, and more in the greater Portland area. He’s played virtually every style of music: rock, Americana, blues, bluegrass, jazz, gypsy swing–you name it. Take lessons in his studio, or he’ll come to you, whatever is most convenient.
Alex holds a degree in Guitar Performance from UC Denver, with graduate credits in Jazz Studies from UT Austin.
